Jason Hurd - Jason is the owner of Vector Flight Training and Vector Air.
Eric Armstrong - Eric is our Chief Pilot. He currently flies for a major airline and enjoys flying all types of aircraft. He has been a flight instructor for over 14 years.
Gerald Curry - I became interested in flying watching US Air Force F-16s. I got my private pilot certificate while in college in 1980. I began teaching flying in 1985. I have flown both corporate and charter aircraft.
Alaine Olthafer - I graduated from Minnesota State Mankato in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation, emphasizing in Professional Flight. I have been flying for five years and have loved every minute of it. General aviation is my passion, and my goal is to pass that passion on to my students.
Zach Pegg - A graduate from Metro State College of Denver, Zach instructs at Vector Air, and is and teacher at Metro State. He is a member of the Metro State Flight team, which competes at the national level.
Gary Thatcher - I have been flying for 12 years. I got my B.S. in Aviation Technology. I was able to build multi-engine time in a Seneca II that I used for a business. I was then hired to fly a Citation IV and did that until the aviation industry flopped after 2001. I found a new career but have continued to enjoy my true passion through instructing. I enjoy flight instruction and helping aspiring career pilots and recreational pilots achieve their goals.
Chris Turner - I have been flying since 1990. As far as aviation career: I enjoy flying GA airplanes and have no desire to fly for the airlines. My favorite categories to teach are tail wheel, Acrobatics, and Mountain flying.
Mike Gugeler - With over 15,000 flight hours in the past 30 years, Mike has experience in airplanes from Piper Cubs to jet airliners. He is rated to fly single and multi-engine land and sea planes, turboprops, and is type rated in the Boeing 737 and 757. His ten years as a bush pilot and twelve years in airline operations give him perspective on varied types of flying situations. Mike feels that basic flying skills are suffering in today's pursuit of technology and automation. If you can't handle the crosswind or recover from a stall/spin it's time to drop the radio, stop staring at the instrument panel, and develop or re-discover some basic stick-and-rudder skills before moving on to the myriad non-flying cockpit duties that will challenge you later. Flying should be fun and a solid set of core skills will help you relax and enjoy learning the many lessons aviation can teach you. Mike teaches tailwheel, nosewheel, complex and high performance aircraft, mountain check outs, on and off-pavement, and control tower / ATC operations.
Kevin Kellogg - Kevin has over 20 years experience in aviation, a majority of it flying in Alaska.
